Hmm...I haven't seen enough of these films to make an accurate judgement.

Scorsese should win best director though, hopefully.
Eternal sunshine = best screenplay
Kate Winslet for best actress? I haven't seen any of the others though.

Very true.

I forgot to mention The Motorcycle Diaries for best adapted screenplay.

best actor: Johnny Depp. Sorry Leo, you did good but not that good.
best actress: Imelda Staunton
best supporting actor: Jamie Foxx
best supporting actress: Cate Blanchett
director: Martin Scorsese
adapted: Finding Neverland
original: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
best picture: The Aviator

Comment on Best Picture: It was a tough choice between the Aviator and Finding Neverland, but the Aviator was a better picture overall, though i did PREFER Neverland. I must also admit i haven't seen Million Dollar Baby yet, and judging from what i heard, it would probably be on my best flick pick if i had. Now, i also have some reservations.

The Academy left out good movies that could and should have been nominated. Kill Bill Vol. 2 and Eternal Sunshine come to mind. In fact, Eternal Sunshine would've been my pick easily. It's also a shame that David Carradine was left out of the best Supporting Actor category after the excellent job he did as the ruthless, conflicted, paternal super assassin Bill. Just goes to show that the Oscars are always and have always been entertainment awards and little more. It's a shame.

As for who i think will win? The Aviator, Sideways, or Million Dollar Baby will take everything (with the exception of "Best Actor" which will likely go to Foxx).
