Not a very original thought, but Tarantino always puts good music in his movies. He seems to get the music just right for the scene ("Little Green Bag" in Reservoir Dogs, "Bang, Bang" in Kill Bill Vol.1 etc.)

The soundtrack to Trainspotting has the perfect mix of Brit pop and electronic. And I'll second the Lost in Translation mention.

XXX had a good one, with Rammsteins apt as hell "Feur Frei!"

Feur frei, translated into English Directly means "Fire free" and the English version of this command is "open fire"

the life aquatic with steve zissou

it features this guy playing a bunch of david bowie songs on an acoustic guitar and singing them in portugese, seems strange but kicks ***.
