I really hope this doesn't make it to any screen anywhere.

That looks terrible. The original was excellent, and at the ending, there was NO OPENING FOR A SEQUEL!

Horrible, thats wrong to even attempt another movie like taxi driver. Thats a shame anyone would do such a thing.

i'm inclined to say no, but i do have faith in de niro and scorsese for not just crapping this up. i just don't see any way of it happening though

Since both DeNiro and Scorsese would be involved, I'm willing to give this a flibber of a chance.

I agree with the two posts above me.

I mean, it's great to see DeNiro and Scorcese working together again, but why can't they do something else? Why risk utter disaster like this? Then again, Scorcese IMO has done some nice work recently with Gangs of New York and the Blues series.

Doesn't seem to be too much detail on that page, but at the moment I'd agree with the 3 posts above me. De Niro/Scorcese are a great team. I can't see it happening though, but it would be pretty interesting. Deep down I'm hoping they'll leave it though.

I hope this doesn't happen. Taxi Driver isn't sequel material. I wish people knew when to leave things be.

That's terrible why would they even think of ruining what is one of the best films of all time. How would it even work?! (being that there's no sequel style ending in Taxi Driver)

Maybe it'll ignore the original and be a sort of reinvisionment of the story of Travis Bickle.
