I need help...with Starcraft

Alright, so I go to the multiplayer place and choose the East server for Battle.net and then I press Ok...nothing fancy. Then it goes through the steps like Querying Gateway, then something else, then Accessing Account. As soon as it gets to that it sort of pauses and this pop-up thing says there's something wrong with port 6112 and USD packets aren't processing. I talked to the Tech Support dude and said that port 6112 is for routers or something and I don't have one so that isn't the problem. The USD packets actually are processing....they're just stupid.

My friend has this problem every once in a while so he just sits in the Asia server and then it fixes it or something. Has this happened to anyone? Please, I don't know how to make it work.

Only problem I've had similar to that was when my firewall was blocking SC from running. Don't know if that's the problem though...
