Named in memory of our late, great friend John Entwistle, the Five Fifteen bass practice amp combines a 100 watt power section with a single 15" Ashdown BlueLine bass speaker. Sounds can be shaped quickly and intuitively using bass, middle and treble controls, supplemented by a pre-shaped 'deep' switch. A headphone output is provided for private practice along with an extension speaker output.

I got this amp because my old Marshall finally packed up when I got my new bass. For a practice amp its massive! 100W too! Without transport your going to have trouble taking this to a practice. Its a dead weight. I was going to take it on the bus but now we just use the practice rooms at uni and use there amps. I'm not taking this thing for a 2 mile hike every couple of days!

Its got an amazing sound and tone to it. Ashdown do make good amps and cabs and they don't let themselves down with this combo. The old combo was 65W, but they've now updated it to 100W and the majority of places have kept it at the same price. I payed £180 for it in store. You can get it for a little cheaper online, but for under £200 its a bargin.

The EQ is standard, but there is a bass boost which does make a difference and the speaker can take the low end. I play with full bass and no highs on my bass, full bass and mids and no highs on the amp plus bass boost. It blows you away! With the combo by itself, you can probably get about 70-75W out of it, but with an extra cab you'll be able to get the full 100W out of it. You could probably do a small pub gig with it if you needed to.

The Five-15 is definitley worth the money. Its an amazing amp.
