View Full Version : The 'Pub Sports' thread.
This is a general discussion place for all pub sports.
I.E the ones that don't take too much physical effort  .
So, anyway, I've been playing insane ammounts of darts lately.
I'm addicted to it, plus all the snooker and pool I play.

Can't beat a bit of pool, and darts is good when a pub's not too crowded. Fúsball (sp) is always fun as well. And table football with a 2p. Games with matches are great too, and cards.
Pool tops my list though.

I sure as hell have played my fair share of flip cup. Anyone played plenty of beer pong, splash, or beer jenga?
Splash is by far my fav. If anyone'd like, I'd be happy to explain. One hell of a game to get really sossed to - quickly. Very fun if you've got enough people to play tournament style.

I once met a guy who didn't know how to play pool.
He was 18 too, I thought everyone new how to play pool by the time they reached 8 at most.

It's crazy how addictive watching darts on the tv is, same with snooker. they sound like such boring sports... but I get addicted when I start watching, every time :(
(same applies for leg shaving)

123, but there also sports where you need to have knowledge of the sport to understand and enjoy fully.
Same with f1, i know lots of people who dont like it "because its boring" i was the same untill i got to know the sport and how it works, now i love it.

Pool is awesome, so many variations you could play.
8 ball - standard game of pool, hit in all solids or stripes and the 8 last.. good for when you aren't so gone..
9 ball - the pool balls 1 through nine, the nine in the middle of them.. you have to knock them in in order and the nine last unless you get a deflection..
7 ball - just like nine ball with 2 less.. extremely lethal game, 2 or three usualy knocked in on the break..
I have only been playing pool for a little over a year now and I'm probably the fifth best player on campuss already..
