Hello.
Currently, I have a Boss BR532, which suits me fine for recording at the minute. However, I would like to start making some full band recordings, and have realised that im screwed for recording drums as it only has one mic input.
Would I be able to purchase a small mixing desk, with 4/6/8 mic inputs, then run the line out from this into the line in on my Boss unit, recording one drum track with 4/6/8 mics from the mixer?
Also, if this is possible, could you please reccomend a mixer that i could use.
Cheers.
Oli.

Thats exactly what you should do.
Look at the berjhinger UB range, like the UB1204.

Thanks. It was your ideal studios under a grand thread that inspired this idea. So, what do you think I'd need to be able to record well? Any Pre-amps for mics etc?

4 built in mic pre-amps, phantom power etc...
if you were feeling extravogant, you could buy a tube mic pre-amp, to give your vocals extra warmth.
Since behirnger mixers cost relative pennies, you could happily consider this. You could also consider a mixer with more inputs, and built in FX like reverb and compression. like this: http://www.behringer.com/UB1222FX-PRO/index.cfm?lang=ENG

The behringer UB series have preamps and phantom power for all channels, it might not be the greatest preamp but it will do. If you really need a slightly more customisable preamp, consider something like a Behringer MIC200.
The UB1202, would serve the purpose of drums well, 4 XLR inputs, it has no FX like the 1204, but you don't desperately need them for drums.
