Maybe it's just my inocmptetnce, but I can't get subtle reverb with audacity's "GVerb" effect at all. Is there any way of getting a plugin to add reverb?

I haven't seen any on the site, the GVERB is easy to get a hang of, just turn it all down to the lowest value and one by one pull them up and take others down till you work out what effect each slider has.

Tweak between your Dry Signal Level and your Early reflection level.
Dry signal is the original source without reverb, the default has this really low, and the early reflection level high, which is your reverb, thus you get reverb and no dry signal.
Try having your dry signal near the top, high than your early reflection, then play with reverb time and room size.

Is there any way to do on the fly compression with audacity?
