It's only a rough draft of my latest song idea ... be gentle.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/retrofitmusic.htm

It's the one entitled 'Heavy Metal song 2.0'

I'm going to organize it better and work on the solo a bit (it's almost there .. still needs mucho work).

It's just me and my drum machine .. I've only been playing for 4 years without lessons of any sort so please be nice ... constructive criticism only.
Thanks

Also ... the audio file is a bit quiet so you may need to adust your volume settings on your computer. :)

Pretty good. Try to find a drummer though, I hear parts that could be alot better if the drums changed once and awhile.

yeah ... I just recorded the basic premise of the song given what I had ... my amp, crap drum machine, a microphone, and a crap recording program. I'm going to get together with my bandmates this weekend and work out some bass lines for the 3rd riff in (it needs some lowend), and hopefully we'll be working with a drummer (drummers are very wishy washy ... most unreliable people I know however necessary as we rely on them in a band).

I also want to get some rhythm guitar backing on the solo thing or some bass under it.

I'm also having a bit of trouble ... in my band, I have two guitarists. Me playing lead and my friend playing rhythm and it's a bitch and a half writing for two guitarists.

I don't think it's too bad at all for a starting point....Just keep working on it and you'll get it where you want it to be.
