Im looking at the $600 one.

My friend and I are wondering if this would be suitable for home recording. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or any advice on what else to get.

you would need quite a nice USB interfece (or much better, USB soundcard) with it. you'd be better off buying a cheap 2nd hand computer (Pentium 2 is good enough for recording) and a soundcard if you can afford it, a mixer, some mics, and download audacity for free. sorted.

any mp3 player or simular device will be absolutely despicibly horrible for recording. the only thing those are for is like recording voice messages.

DONT GET A IPOD FOR RECORDING :thumb:

I have an Ipod, I would never want to record on it though, I dont know why that was brought up.

that's a mac mini pictured, which is a PC, not an ipod mini, which is not.
