The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
-Epic filmmaking and great cinematography... with the least amount of significant story changes of the three
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
-Awesome battle sequences and the most epic and large-scale film I have ever seen. 3 1/2 hours of greatness
The Princess Bride
-Perfect swashbuckling parody... and a good romance, with cool fight scenes
Star Wars: Episode V
-Darkest, and best, of the original trilogy
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
-Just plain hilarious. Excellent comedy
Spirited Away
-Wonderful, G-rated film about the human spirit and the extent of young girl's bravery, despite being set in a wacked-out spirit world
Princess Mononoke (the 1/2 that I have seen)
-Even if you don't like anime, this film is a very important film, and ditched the "good and evil" motif and instead pits man against nature, and makes you think about "good and evil".
Animal House
-Classic, classic comedy. National Lampoon's best
The Incredibles
-Excellent movie that everyone ought to see. Like a PG James Bond/Superhero/Warm Family movie
Ocean's 11 (Modern Update)
-Smart heist movie. Tons of twists and throws and head-scratchers, all in one job
Blues Brothers
-Another Comedy Classic. Succesfully takes an SNL skit and makes a great movie
Wayne's World
-See above movie
Spiderman (1 & 2)
-The first one re-started the Superhero trend, showing how it ought to be done with a lot of heart and cool action. The second one picked up where the first left off and explored the human soul as well as have kick-arse action.
Galaxy Quest
-A perfect spoof of Star Trek with a lot of heart and even more fun
A Beautiful Mind
-Touching real-life movie about aschizophrenic genius. Brillian job by Russel Crowe
Bourne Identity/Supremacy
As screwed-around-with adaptations of classic novels go, these were pretty d4mn good. Both were solid thrillers; Identity did a great job with the amnesia thing, and Supremacy had one of my favorite car chases ever.

I need to see a lot more movies, like Donnie Darko and The Matrix. I'll have a better list in a year.
