ok, ive been wondering... when it comes to vocals, can u get BETTER at singing? I kno that people have vocal coaches and such, but you need to natrually be gifted first right? Is there a certain point a vocal coach wouldnt help at all?

i can't sing but a vocal coach helps alot more than learning some people are talented enough to sing and learn but others....NO.

You certainly CAN become better. And no, you don't need to be a natural singer in order to take lessons and improve.

Right now, I'm teaching a 70 year old guy who came to me never having sung in his life. He couldn't match pitch and couldn't get through a single song. After a year, he matches pitch just fine, and has a singing role in a local musical. He is but one example. :)

Do be sure you find a singing *teacher,* however, and not a coach. A good teacher gives students all they need to know about vocal technique. A coach deals with stylistic issues.

you can get better by having determination and passion for it. i did. when i look at tapes of when i first started in my band, just 2 years ago, it was awful. very dull, very flat, but after reading tutorials on www.getsigned.com and on here, i've been able to practice the techinques and improve.
