Hi,
My new band has just been asked by our school to play at a concert with one toher band. We know the songs we are going to play; Is this it - The Strokes, Half the world away - Oasis, Golden Touch - Razorlight, Last Nite - The Strokes. The vocalist asked me what should she do when she isn't singing i.e during solo's? I was wondering whether you had any tips and pointers on the sort of thing she could do, and also what the rest of the band can do to enhance the performance?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

... do a lot of jumping... move around. talk to eachother... you have to show the audiance, that you are having fun. that way the audiance will have fun as well.

... the audiance is your mirror. do whatever you want them to do...

no-ones gonna be looking at her, so she should generally just look like she's having fun. Metal vocalists should air guitar or headbang, but for that kinda music she should just tap her feet, nod her head and smile a lot.
