Hi people

I'm in a band called Starbleed, we're a 5 piece heavy metal act from Pwllheli, North Wales. The band has been going since early 2003. We've been to the studio 3 times over the lsat month to record a 6 track demo called "The Fine Practice of Suicide: Volume 2"

3 of the tracks off the new demo are on soundclick:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/starbleedmusic.htm

Please check us out and tell us what you though either by posting here on on the forum on our official website www.starbleed.tk.

For a copy of the full 6 track demo you can contact either Mark, Bryn or Francis (check out contact details on the website) for a free copy of the demo. Thanks in advance to anyone that checks us out and posts any feedback.

~Bryn~

P.S.Stained in Pain is our best song on Soundclick, don't forget to join our forum :thumb:

for a heavy metal band, your instruments are suspiciously devoid of talent, and you vocals are also weak. i mean i guess the gut scream works for you (im not gonna go into my complaints of it, since it wasnt THAT bad), but the way you equalized it just sort of drowns out your instruments. but anyway, about your instruments, did you just find a bunch of kids that dont know how to play? your lines are very easy and unoriginal. the drummer doesnt do anything in that one song except play 8ths on his ride cymbal... instruments are what set apart heavy metal bands apart from one another, and when your guitarists are the equivilent of some of my local bands guitarists (not to say its all too bad, i really like some of that guitar work in Stained In Pain, although, i gotta say... lay off the pinched harmonics, a few are good, but not like every 2 seconds) it just doesnt really set you apart as something special to me. yeah stained in pain, best song. other 2, eh.... kinda bad.

id give you guys a 5/10
sorry i wasnt more helpful

Good stuff. I wouldn't really say it's heavy metal; more of nu-metal with sort of slipknot'ish style vocals. Stained In Pain is a good song, but that dropout on the guitars(the 2'nd time) needs to be taken out (just my opinion). Better Production-Recording would really help. It lacks that umff that by listening to it I can get what you're going for, but can't really feel it (don't know if that made sense  ). Overall good job dudes... keep rockin

that was great it could be like nu-metal or alternitave but besides that it had its ups from the first song.

Music - too simple for my tastes... simple, and slow. Vocals were too nu-metal for me.

Hi guys, thanks for the comments.

I know from listening to the songs that it makes us (the guitarists) sound kinda crappy but we really are good musicians we've only been playing for just about 2 years and are already passing most of the people we know that have been playing guitar for 4 years+, we can shred and play crazy riffs but we don't think the band is ready for it at the moment and have only just noticed how much we should be adding that into the mix after countless people have said to us after hearing the demo "Where are the solos?".

I haven't been in the band that long so the music isnt really down to me but after I came in we started to make faster songs and stained in pain is the fastest on the demo (new songs are great and are much better and faster ;) ). I guess it is nu-metal even though I don't like to really think of it as that but the vocals make the boat sway to that side since they are heavily influenced by Slipknots Corey Taylor.

P.S.with the whole equalizing and mixing thing we just left that down to the studio engineer. We don't really know much about that so weren't really a big part in the mixing and that was the best recording we could get in the area (ARGH WALES!!!) and we had to travel about 40+ miles to get to it.
