I think I messed with my pick-up switch too much on my bass. I have had times where I sit there and play notes sliding my fingers on the fret board and flick the switch up and down to get that cool other world effect. I didn't really know that it could mess up your guitar though, because now sometimes the pickups change when I'm playing even when I'm not touching the switch. I get that crackling noise that u get when u switch pickups right when I plug in my guitar to play. Sometimes it goes away after a while and comes back. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this and how much it would probably cost for a store to do it. Because I have a warranty with Rickenbacker right now and I could send it in, but I don't think I could survive without it. I would be lost without my only love in this world if that guitar was gone. Its not that big of a problem right now cause I'm not doin any shows or anything. But i might soon so someone help me out and tell me if its any easy thing to fix or not. Thanks

send it in. needs a new switch. especially if its changing pickups without being touched, thats just freak. Never heard of that happening before. Since a switch is a manual thing, its actually physically impossible.:thumb:
