Suggestions on Acoustics for 1 Mic

I only have 1 microphone to record my band's jam sessions. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I should set up the room we play in for optimal recording?

I actually used to do the same thing just for practice purposes, and what i found worked the best was to set everything up in sort of a circle. just making sure the guitars weren't right next to each other, and then we hung the mic from the ceiling about a foot down... and while it's crappy quality, you're nto gonna get much better with just 1 mic

for fun we record with the mic on a mic stand about a foot away from the rack of the drums, we then have the bass amp next to the drums on the right, and rhythm guitar on the left, and lead slightly right of directly across from the drums. it's not too bad. just play around.
