Singing/Playing Help

I asked this question in the bass forum, and SlapHappySunshine recommended i come here and talk to Merkaba.

We recently kicked out our lead singer, so me and my guitarist have split up the singing duties. So i need advice on how to be a better singer and how to improve my singing/playing. I usually play bass and sing, but i play guitar sometimes too.
