Well i'm not entirely sure what happened. I used to live on a Canal Boat/Barge/Narrow Boat, and for the first few months we used a generator to get power. During this time i was playing through my little practice amp, and suddenly it just stopped working.
Is it likely that this is just a problem with the fuse (if so, sorry for wasting your time) or might i have surged some power through my amp and completely bust it?

ballast. converts AC to watts. They go out every once in a while. If you still get power to the amp but it doesn't play then that's not it.

Was pretty cool, especially during the summer. We had a little canopy (on our own little bit of land) on the bank which we could sit on during the day, which was nice for relaxing. Plus great for parties, except when people fall in. Problems with heat during the winter though, as the canal freezes over and since a lot of the boat is underwater it gets pretty damn cold. Anyway, sorry for spamming my own thread. Back to the point. Thanks for the help sleepy, when i get my hands back on my amp i'll check it out.

It is not a very good idea playing an amp through an unreliable power source.
Spikes can very easilly blow fuses, and even worse. Damage the power supply section of your amp.
A new fuse should be able to sort out your troubles.
But If you are going to be playing off a generator, then definately invest in a UPS and a Surge protector / power conditioner too.
