Hey,

I'm really proud of this although I'd like to improve it. I would appreciate any feedback anyone can give me about it, even if it is it's good, or it sucks.

The lyrics are a liitle dark although I think they fit in with the song. The lyrics are below. One area I'd really like some advice on is the production, so if anyone knows about these things or has any ideas please let me know

Song for a Soldier

If only I could ignore confusion
Turn my back on a sick illusion
Fly away on a Venus Cloud
And never look around
I shine like an evening star
And find life before death

There's no comedy in comedy no more
And no return to the things that make me laugh
1:00am and all is hell
Standing up in this ****ed up shell
Praying the day will come
And bring the warmth of the rising sun

If only I could ignore confusion
Turn my back on a sick illusion

The guitar is good, the vocals arent bad,the percusion needs work. I like "This is my life"btw.

If the production was better, this song would be great. The guitar was awesome, and vocals were good, but the production on the drums made them sound like you were using a computer program to make them. That's cool and all, but if that was a live drummer, the sound of his drums sounded really fabricated. Other than that it rocked.

hmmm

I think it's quite good, though if you get real players on all the instruments instead of midi sounding programs the dynamics and epicness would defnately benefit, I liked the guitar work and the percussion would work alot better on a real drum kit...did you use guitar pro?

I am going to re-record this with real drums and a real singer (well I mean someone who can sing) and see how things turn out.

I didn't use guitar pro, I used SONAR 3

the guitar riff sounds stolen, and that little funk break down thing was dumb. your vocals were also quite awful.
