Anyone See The Slim PS2's?

seeing as i had to buy my own since my brother moved out, i was given one for Christmas from the parents. now i can put my money to other things :thumb:

anyways, for those who havent seen them, heres a pic comparing the PS2's together.

i got the new slim ps2 for christmas as well cause my fat one died, i love the fact that to the eject button isnt digital, you just press it open like the old school ps1, i also much prefer the on switch as a button on the front. it's sooooo tiny, smaller than i expected, me likey!

That's a good point, I should really take a picture for all of you. I have my Xbox sitting right beside my mini-ps2 and it looks so **** funny.

the only thing i dont like is its either "on", or on "standby"....no "off"...unless there is, and i dont know how to do it.You could always just unplug it. I always assumed though that keeping it in standby was better than turning off the main power switch. (unless of course you're going a long time without using the PS2)

recommend it if you are gona trade in or buy a new PS2, get the slim

THat's not true, I've been playing mine for like 3 days strait (gots lots of games on chrismas), no problems with overheating at all. In fact, my older ps2 got wormer than this one.

I love my mini ps2, it rocks.

they recalled them because they took the fan out thats how there so slim and if you play them for over 10 hours theyll catch on fireMaybe if you put duct tape over the rear vent it would burt in flames. And they didn't take the fan out. They simply replaced that huge noisy one with a much quieter fan.

Now we all know the Xbox is a little more powerful than the ps2. But for god sake, when it is litterally 10 times bigger than the ps2 shouldn't it be a little better than it is?
