This is a resource for some of you who are interested in buying a new bass. It contains links to threads regarding the issue, as well as useful websites.

One of the main problems of doing a general thread for this topic, is that each case is extremely individual. This is not intended to stop these threads, however, I urge bassists to scan through the catorgories before posting a new thread.

i posted this in another thread, but nothing. anyway, i found this mim p special at a guitar shop for $295. i haven't actually played it through an amp yet, but its in great condition and i think it feels great. (it's the red one w/ the gold anodized pickguard) let's say that all the electronics work fine and what not, what r your personal opinions about this bass? should i be jumping all over this?
