Is that a Tobias? Very nice.

To be honest, I have not the slightest idea of what that is.

Wow guys, it's not me! It's just some guy who is on the Bela Fleck forums (I stumbled on them earlier), and I'm not registered there, so I asked here instead. :)

And yeah, it's a Tobias.

I'm much better than that.....ahem....anyway, I fancied learning it, so I wanted to know the name! Thanks! :)

I'm a little late... that's a clip from my website.

I noticed traffic from this site to my videos & I found this link ...

I know I'm playing it fast... but it was only a 15-second max clip on a digital camera so I wanted to get the full phrase in, haha!!

I only recently got around to learning that song...being a Hammfan like me, you'd expect it to be the first!

True, but Flow My Tears (the Policeman said) must come a good third.

...note the Hamm fanatacism in this post.

Is it me, or does Moonlight Sonata sound like *** on the bass? 'Country Music' on the other hand, a bass staple!!

nah, it sounds great!

Dr.Gradus Ad Parnasum is my favourite classical piece by Stu, though...

I agree, that is his best... of the recordings I know of his, anyway.

I like Moonlight Sonata on bass, but although it's impressive he took the time to arrange it, I prefer it on piano. The same goes for Dr. Gradus.

I really hate when people play Prelude in C on the piano, it only sounds good on harpsichord to me.

the third is much more impressive (if we are talking about moonlight)

The Tenacity of Dreams and Genes always wows me.

I need to get that album... it's the only one I don't have, I think...

Flow My Tears and Love Thang are two of my favourite things to play.

I've got The Urge, Kings of Sleep and Radio Free Albemuth.

I've actually got an original 80s vinyl of Radio Free Albemuth. In mint condition. :)

You need to pick up Outbound friend, there is not a bad song on there.

so, really, do you guys just sit down, pop in some Hamm...and listen?

Wintermute
11-18-2005, 06:35 PM
I usually just keep Winamp on shuffle. It throws up the occasional Hamm track. To be honest, I think that's the best way - if you just listen to one song, you don't get overwhelmed with cheese.

I do like him, I just couldn't listen to a whole album. :)

indeed.

tolerable in moderation...but my god, give me The Urge, Kings Of Sleep, and Terminal Beach all in a row...well, that's what we call a "lethal dose" here in the land of the naut.
