i thought consoles didn't crash :upset: , but my cube freezes during simpsons hit and run and alien hominid. has this happened to anyone else?? it's super frustrating 'cos all consoles are basically built the same and i don't see why they would stall or crash. ****, this sucks.

Try getting an Xbox, I hear those things have legs and can have mad sex with you if you want.

My Gamecube does that when playing Metroid Prime but it's second hand and no other games do it.

Consoles DO crash. My buddy's Xbox, whenever it turns on, just displays a red light around the eject button, and tells him on screen that his Xbox needs to be repaired. That's with anything he puts in there.

You probably bought one that was defected. Go back to the store that you purchased it in and see what you can do to either get a new gamecube or a refund/store credit

my gamecube crashes about twice a year. unless the disk is smudged then i just clean it and continue.
clean the vents. seriously, that messed me up for a year on our PSone. The air vents get clogged, the system overheats and shuts itself down. Make sure it has plenty of room to breathe. If its sitting on carpet or is boxed in on many sides, its gonna overheat.

My Gamecube has only crashed once, while playing Metroid Prime, but it's a bug in the game, and I've never heard of them crashing otherwise.

It is usually the disk. My console has never crashed, but sometimes the disk is dusty or scratched and the console stops.
