Madden '05, has anybody blocked a pat, a feild goal or a punt?

Ive had madden 04 and 05 and ive never got anywhere near the kicker/punt kicker. its impossible. Sombody please help

Yes.

What I do is run Goal Line and not FG Block. I bring one of my cornerbacks (I think the play's either "Slide" or "Blitz All," too lazy to check) so he's rushing up the middle. At the snap, the center will pick up either the blitzing MLB (who is already there, going A gap) or me going the other A gap (the center can't pick up both), so that means that one of the two has a free shot and is untouched.

If I'm untouched, I have a free shot, so I just sprint in and hit Y to jump to block it.

If I get blocked by the center, I switch to the MLB (who has a free shot) and hit Y to jump to block it.

I've also returned it to my end zone :p

EDIT: this works more in the NCAA series, but it still works.

I've done it on NCAA many times, but I do not own Madden.

Both EA Sports football games, and are very similar in game play.

turn offsides on run up to them when everyones getting into position and when hes goes to kick jump in front of the player. but then if you dont let them score a touchdown they get a penalty. It doesnt really help but you can block it that way

On average, I block two FG's and about 10 punts a season.

On All-pro difficulty, I don't play All Madden usually.

Goal Line works wonders for doing stuff like that. Also, you should play with a really young relative so you can do it, haha. :thumb:

On All-Madden, I blocked a punt. I called the standard punt block and got really lucky.
