What does everyone think about the deal that sent Tim Hudson to the Braves for Charles Thomas, Juan Cruz, and Dan Meyer?

I think that it will be good but will not be good for the future.

It seems to me like the braves have had so much young talent lately, but are trading everyone away to get people to build their team around, but will just be gone in a few years. Also trading Eli Marrero seems like a mistake to me because right now, the only outfielder they have is Andruw Jones.

I'm really beginning to wonder if this is the year to start questioning JOhn Schurholtz's moves/

2/3 of the big three is gone in Oakland... in return nothing--just a few prospects. As an A's fan i know that there are financial limitations in Oakland, but I really think that Billy Beane could have gotten something better out of the trade.

Hudson is young, established pitcher; if the braves re-sign him this off season, it will be a very good move on their part IMO.

Charles Thomas hit .290 last year as a rookie, and is a very good outfielder. Hudson was injured for a little bit last year. I just think that the Braves have been getting into too many short term contracts with players and are getting rid of their new talent.

i have to say that trading away eli marrero was not wise from a braves point of view
