Actually I'm 16, but whatever. So anyways, for Christmas my parents said they'd get me a new amp. They said from around $200-300 Canadian. I've fallen in love with the 75 watt Line 6 Spider II amp but its rather pricey. So anyone have any suggestions for something in that price range that's atleast 50 watts or so that has a good rock/metal distortion and a good clean? Help is greatly appreciated.

Oops I meant 50. (Although some 30 watt tubes go loud as higher watt solid states)
Edit-Actually, do you have any idea how loud the Spider II 30 watt goes?

Save up and buy a Peavey Classic 30... or else get it used. It has an incredible clean tone.

Umm I just did a big gig with a Mesa Trip Rec finnished about an hour ago.... very nice amp!!! But i dnt think thats within you price range.
Try a used tube amp, i for one am fed up with SS, if i started again I would defiantly have bought a tube amp for my 3rd amp instead of a bigger SS.
