When doing death metal type grunts and screams, is it normal for the throat to burn a bit after a while of doing it? I can do a good amon amarth and in flames type thing, and I've noticed since I've been practicing my voice can hold out a lot longer. With practice will this go away, or should it not happen at all? I warm up by doing scales and deep humming type thing from the diaphram, and finish off with tea and a bit of honey.
First off you may want to ask this question in Jam session, you may get more feedback, but yeah its normal. But you want to rest your vocal chords afterward or you can serioulsy injure them. But dont worry, your doing fine. Yes tea and honey helps, good idea. Also salt water. :thumb: Good luck.
