Hey Punkerz .. Getting straight to the point.. I play Punk stuff, from general to every subculture... any instrument.. got my own studio.. but I need some knowledge from you guys..

The thing is.. I love punk. the lifestyle.. the music.. but lately its been so monotonous.. saaame shiiiiiiit... all these bands... and I realised that in rock.. ppl just seem to notice metalheads as the best musicians technically.. as in speed and skill in playing instruments..

But Im sure there has to be at least one GREAT punk band out there.. one that'll just thrash all when it comes to musical ingenuality... one where every toher band seems to have failed in cloning or copying coz theyr juz so **** good...underground or popular.. THE BEST.. musically.. if not technically (eg. fast playing, leads, crazy bass drives, hectic drumming).. some depth in their songwriting..

I'm just looking for the different now.. I want to hear the punk equivalent to the best musicians of every genre. I know some of u guys are pretty cold and will just tell me to F*** OFF.. but I just need this one help from you guys.. and it's much appreciated.. thanks

Streetlight manifesto is rad, but he asked for punk.

Um Ive obly heard this sone by Death By Stereo, but download " I wouldnt piss in your ear if your brain was on fire"

Rad song.

Um Against All Authority has some good songs, American Nightmare, The Nerve Agents have a couple good songs like "Todays Rebelion, Tomorrows Freedom"

And The Code is great, but I got tired of them pretty fast, "In Hope" and " Our Safety" are cool songs.

Oh and I still havent got sick of Raised Fist. I love all thier songs.

Go with those two, probably the most 2 original bands in punk. While the ban is not being in the mainstreem.ds have gotten more popular over time they never got big because it's part of being "punk"

See (listen to) Wrong 'Em Boyo.

Also gotta go with BR on this (only counting bands still around. But that doesn't really make any difference anyway). Best vocalist in punk. Best songwriters in punk. Best backing vocals in punk (at least on albums anyway). Best lyricists in punk. Some excellent lead guitar from Brian Baker and the tightest rhythm section in punk (If you see 'em live you'll know what I mean). Also with Brooks Wackerman on drums they now have arguably the best drummer in punk, and the drummer with the best surname in punk. And they've done it consistently for ages. If you disagree with this, you are wrong!
