My fav has to be 8, 7 is a very close second but i just prefer the graphics in 8 'cos they make the story seem more believable being realistic and not cartoony like 7.

7 all the way I have played most of the older ones, but I like how the newer ones bring out the interaction in the characters better

I found the graphics in FFX and FF11 to be very realistic....


Edit: Voted for 11 because I'm pretty sure i'm the only one on these boards who plays it.

i loved those before seven, but Seven has to be the best, sure the graphics are sub-par, (now anyway), but the storyline, the music, the characters, the magic system and gameplay, the length, it was all just perfect

then it has to be FFIX, back to the medival roots, a decent magic system, good graphics, and an okay storyline, (cept for that insta-boss at the end).

if only VII had the graphics of VIII

personally, i enjoyed FFIV (or II on the Snes), and VI.
i would play V, but i have a jap version....and well with rpgs, being able to read it helps.

Out of those I choose FF9, but my favorite overall is definitely FF4. You shoulda included the SNES ones for sure.

I choose FF VII, It is the only one on the list I have played, and I love that game, great story, gameplay, etc.

i voted FF X casue it was the most origonal, and had the best graphics. im not a fan of MMORPGs so FF XI is out for me. VII was great, but a little too .....ummm... im not sure, but it seemd to be lacking something. FF VIII was a step below. IX was pretty bad for a FF game. the older ones im not sure about, the PS ports were odd... im at the end of all of them an my charachters are all way to weak, (lvl 30ish :-S). that doesnt seem right to me.

seven is amazing, some of the most insanely awesome characters, and an amazing story line, sooo happy nobody picked X-2.

And to the guy who picked IX, I salute you dude, I think IX is the second best, I thought VIII sucked. . . I hated Squall so much. . . he was cool in Kingdom Hearts though.

Storyline was awesome, as was the gameplay/playability. It was a pretty big game too, with a lot of things to do in it.
