Ok me and my freinds like different types of music, but we have all gotten together for this death/grind/noise band, which is really just 1 minute spazzes with screaming here and there. I know there are fans of this and at the same time there arent. My question is, if we were looking to play gigs, what should we do? Should we try at punk places or what? I know there are fans, but I dont know where we should be.
Also what do you put on your demo to send to these people, for this type of music? Should I just put like 10 30 second songs?

yer, you'll freak a lot of people ot and it will be very hard to get gigs with that kind of sound. An underground metal club woud be nice yeah?

Do not concern and worry yourself with what other minds may think. Send demos to every place you can find that allows live bands to perform. In my experience, those that would more graciously accept your preferred musical style would be local clubs and bars. I believe is is obvious that you would not try to play a gig at a Jazz or Swing club ;) but you should send the demo in to every other place.
In regards to the demo itself, it is in this user's humble opinion that you should place a few complete songs on there. No covers. This will give the manager(s) a better understanding of your band's playing style and if they want to supply you with a spot in their line-up.

many venues understand that not all young people listen to guitar based pop anymore and that grindcore is a very profitable genre. Don't give up.
From experience of being in both a (semi-serious) classic rock band and a (not so serious) metal band, i can vouch that as a heavy metal band, it really does feel like everyones against you. The advantage of having lots of middle aged, rich, influential people liking your music is a great one. But don't give up.
