can i put more than 1 mic in a p.a system

hi i am starting up a new band and i am wondering with a p.a system do i have to buy 1 p.a system for each mic. or will i just put both mics (cuz i have 2 singer) into the p.a sytem?

how ever many channels there are for mics on the mixer thats how many you can plug in. unless theres a way to get and adapter for more? but i havent seen pa's with only one mic hookup. we bought a 180dollar pa and we can hookup 4 mics. lol. that would suck if you had to have a pa for each mic.

Yes, correct. You can plug in up to however many that that particular PA system can support. Most basic entry level PAs support 4 mic inputs.
