Im wondering, can singing the death metal vocal grunt/screem/growl type form destroy your lunges? I heard theres a right way to do it and a wrong way, how can you know? Can anyone give tips about how to do it and should the throat burn while doing it?

use the back of your throat more than ANYTHING.

I don't think it's gonna destroy your lungs, but if you do it wrong your vocal cords and/or throat will get hurt.
