Thanks.. We are pretty proud of it.

It's alot more mellow and melodic from our usual stuff... This is the sort of stuff myself and my singer Jak write while we are sitting around in our house with accoustic guitars. The stuff we play in our band with our drummer gets more of the scream treatment and gets quite heavy in some parts.

Our biggest influences are:
The Cure, Mars Volta, Nirvana, Fugazi, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Deftones, Sonic Youth, Tomahawk, The Dissociatives, The Locust, Glassjaw, Pixies and The Flaming Lips.
So mash all that up with some peas and potatos and thats what we sound like.

I am taking 15 credit hours next semester, 17 this semester, but I have 4 years to get my degree and I have Junior standing so it works out well. Sounds like a nice deal though, I am trying to get a EE spec. SE, so we'll see how that goes.

but Its mostly becoz I'm a junkie-bum and my Dad lives in the States (and doesn't pay to look after me) and my mums on Single Parent Pension (My parents have been divorced all my life) and my mum has a 4 yearold daughter to look after and my sisters Dad (not my dad, my sister is only half-blood) is an arsehole who wont pay maintainance and is a f.ckwit and deserves to die becoz he advocates womens rights then beats my mum up to a point where she gets put in hospital and has to have treatment on her spine in order to be able to do anything without excruitiating pain and I live about 700kms away becoz of study (my mum lives in a rural area... Australia has a lot of empty space between cities...) and I have to support myself and pay rent and bills and food and deal with life on my own.... Thankgod Australia classifies you as an adult when your 18 and not 21 like in the states otherwise I would be f.cked and still living at home dealing with the fallout from my sisters dad's bullsh.t and would probably have killed myself by now.

Thats why the government pays me money.... apparently its called Youth Allowance. I call it "So your lifes f.cked up to a point of no-return allowance."

hmmm.. its been a while since i've witnessed your bizarre style of songwriting. You definately have HUGE talent, but wether it communicates to the audience/reader or not, obviously is subjective, but in the case of your style will influence this aspect negatively. Lyrically and poetically, notthing short of amazing tho. I really like the intro (for its originality, and fresh approach) and the chorus.

The line up was: Fembots then Murder by Death then Arcade Fire with The Weakerthans headlining.

Fuk.... The Arcade Fire was fuking cool; I love it when a band thats NOT the headliner blows the headliner out of the water and people debate whether or not its even worth staying to listen to the headliner and half the crowd leaves....

Yeah, I thought they were very average and generic... especially in the face of Murder by Death and Arcade Fire. They seem like they are trying to please a certain audience and 'buy' into a specific sound just to make money rather than doing their own thing... not my cup of tea. Its would have been better if the line up was

Fembots, The Weakerthans, Murder by Death, Arcade Fire... for the Weakerthans to headline was just ridiculus. In a way it was good though because I didn't feel bad leaving half way through their set becoz I had to catch the bus back home. (and I nearly missed it which would have sucked coz it was raining and stuff.)
