my girlfriend's friend might be getting one of them, i doubt it has a good tone seeing that the body is acryllic but if it is going for that price you might aswell get it.

I heard that they are prone to easy breakage... never had one myself mind you

breakage in what way?

like the pickups are often not secured and are rather loose and the tuning pegs have a tendancy to snap.

I bought one of these as they just look fantastic, and I needed another, cheap bass for gigging in a different tuning, wasn't overly concerned about the sound, however...

At the moment, in playing terms, I'd put it on a par with the Squier P-Bass I had a few years back. It used drop out of tune whilst playing, but that no longer seems to happen. The surprising thing is that I find it so easy to play, its very comfortable. Its rubbish that they aren't well put together, mine's pretty tight and I've had no such problems. Granted I don't use it very often, but when I do its always good. If you look after it, it'll be fine, like any other guitar. You'll need new strings though 'cos the ones they put on are seriously poor.

At the end of the day you're not buying this bass 'cos its going to sound like heaven itself, you're getting it as it looks amazing, and it looks twice as good as it does in the photos.

I have the one you are talking about only in yellow, I would post a picture but i can't be bothered to get a photobucket or anything, they need setting up, but once they are they are actually alright, good for the money.

SamB - he asked the question over a year ago. Odds are good he doesn't still need the answer. Welcome to the forum, and thanks for trying to help, but please don't bump up old threads. :thumb:
