naturally the singer would but sometimes anyone can. Like a guitarist could write a song about his day and how crappy it was or the singer could write about something too. Anyone really can write the lyrics its just that the usually the singer would. A guitarist writes their music, drummer drums the way they want to and the bassist play the way they want to. But u can do whatever.

My drummer might be one of the worst lyric writers on the planet...

well we just started about a month ago and so far the drummer has written all the lyrics. I showed them mine and they liked them, but we just haven't started on them yet. The drummer wants to sing instead, which i would rather him drum, cause he's great, but he can sing a little bit too. It's just up to whether or not we find another drummer or singer first....
