No one posted in this thread for two months? This is criminal.
why is it that no one seems to mention how awesome Dreamer Deceiver and Deceiver are? Glenn's solo in Dreamer Deceiver is so good it's almost painful to listen to. One of Priest's best slow solos (but still not as good as Rock hard ride free :D)

I'm saying Painkiller since it's one of my favourite albums ever, but Screaming For Vengeance is awesome and Unleashed In The East is one of my favourite live albums.
The Hellion/Electric Eye is awesome.
Painkiller or Stained Class is my favorite, depending on what mood I'm on.

Ahh ur really missing out.
I saw them live about 5 months ago in UTAH. I was very surprised them came.
It was soooo amazing. It was soo awsome. especially when they played victim of changes.
They played the solo for over 5 minutes. like 5 minutes of just straight soloing
im only 15 and im so happy i saw them before they will break up. Anthrax came too. It was a good performance but not as good as PRIEST.

Incredible. Right on the money with all the songs, Halford sounded great and the setlist (except for Turbo Lover) was to die for. Probably the best concert I've been to.

well, the album version is soft and played on acoustics, but for a long time they played a heavier version live. I think they've gone back to playing it in the acoustic style live though.

It's a pity Ram It Down didn't have so much filler, or it may have been as great as Painkiller. That being said, I think Ram It Down and Hard As Iron are on par with the great songs of Painkiller.

No, it's different! Riva's talking about the beginning of Breaking the Law, where they play each other's instruments, I'm talking about the rest of the concert.
That rocking thing they do is fairly awesome to look at. I don't imagine it's that hard as long as you keep your eyes on your fretboard.
I just get disorientated quickly and fall off the beat with my awesome rocking.

So, yesterday i was reading the complete headbanging history of heavy metal by Ian Christe, and at the back it had top 3 lists. One of the lists were 'best fake live albums', and unleashed in the east was on the top 3 for that lists. WTF
Allegedly, Rob and Glenn recorded their parts again in the studio. One more wild rumour has the entire album being made in a studio, with a fake live audience.
Glenn maintains that it is a purely live album, though some of Rob's high notes were "touched up" due to a flu he had whilst on tour.

Eat me alive becomes really disgusting.
Wrapped tight around me
Like a second flesh hot skin
Cling to my body
As the ecstasy begins
Your wild vibrations
Got me shooting from the hip
Crazed and insatiable let rip
Eat me alive
Sounds like an animal
Panting to the beat
Groan in the pleasure zone
Gasping from the heat
Gut-wrenching frenzy
That deranges every joint
I’m gonna force you at gun point
To eat me alive
Bound to deliver as
You give and I collect
Squealing impassioned as
The rod of steel injects
Lunge to the maximum
Spread-eagled to the wall
You’re well equipped to take it all
So eat me alive
Actually i would bold the whole thing, but that woulnt make a difference.

Jugulator and Demolition. I wouldn't recommend them though.

Oh ok...I might get Painkiller but besides that I'm not too interested in geting anything else.
Whats wrong with both those albums though ?
They aren't very good. Jugulator was a poor attempt of showing everyone that Tim could do what Halford does and Demolition wasn't Priest like at all. It's not Tim's singing that's the problem, the songwriting is so immature and weak that it is an insult to the other albums.

Demolition is pretty awful, alright. More repulsive than even Turbo, in my opinion.

Jugulator isn't too bad, really.

WTF
Turbo Lover I can understand, but Some Heads Are Gonna Roll?! That song is one of the best on the album, what's wrong with you?
It's quite clearly Turbo Lover and Locked In....
Jugulator just sounds really weak to me. I've only listened to it once, so I can't say its the end all opinion.
The Live album is okay with Tim though.
And Riva, your version of Living after Midnight is different from the US version apparently.
When I get home from Uni I'll recheck the CD.

Problem solved. I don't have Hot Rockin' on my release.

It's a well known fact that Priest's lyrics are perfect. It's all about the choruses, and how can you beat Exciter, One Shot At Glory and You've Got Another Thing Comin'?
You can't!
It's the verses that have us all cringing from time to time.

It's the way you stand
You're always attracting attention
Now with your hands on your hips, and a
Snarl on your lips
Your eyes wore the look of danger
There's a lion in your heart,
That's set to quick start,
To a glance from any stranger
You give as good as you get
No one's beat you yet
You take the lead
You never need
You know all the moves you've got to make
You take it all, you take it all the way
Ya never do things by half
You're a man with a reputation
You never shy when the problems fly
You can cope with any situation
You take the wheel and crack the whip
You never slip
You rule the roost
You always boast
Yeah you're lookin' after number one
You take it all, you take it all the way
Awesome song, btw.

Unleased in the East blows away the early studio albums... Tyrant is crap in the studio but live it kicks *** as a matter of fact... here is the track list:
Exciter
Running Wild
Sinner
The Ripper
The Green Manalishi
Diamonds And Rust
Victim Of Changes
Genocide
Tyrant
Rock Forever
Delivering The Goods
Hell Bent For Leather
Starbreaker
The live version of every song on here is beeter than the studio version. Les Binks sounds real good live too

Halford's Live Insurrection album actually included some great old JP songs:
Stained Class
Running Wild
Genocide
Beyond The Realms Of Death
Tyrant
I also saw Fight (Halford's first solo project after Priest) and they played Exciter live.

JUDAS PRIEST WORKING ON FIRST CONCEPT ALBUM
Judas Priest is working on the first concept album in the band's 32-year recording career, according to Billboard.com. The project will tell the story of 16th century French prophet Nostradamus, who was reputedly able to see visions of the future. Lead singer Rob Halford said that fitting the music and storyline together will be a challenge for the veteran metal band: "It's going to be a monumental task. We've written about characters in our music over the decades...It's just like a natural progressive step for us. The exciting thing is that we're going to be performing the whole piece live on stage when we go out, hopefully in early 2007."
Halford, who reunited with Priest in 2004 after a 12-year absence, is currently writing the album with guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing near the band's hometown of Birmingham, England.
No title or release date has been nailed down for the album yet. Halford said that the group will create an "absolutely spectacular" stage show to bring the album to life in concert.
Priest will head to Las Vegas next month, along with Kiss, Queen and Def Leppard, for the taping of VH1's Rock Honors. All four bands will perform and be saluted at the event, which will take place on May 25th at the Manderlay Bay hotel and air on the 31st.
