Heres a question thats been bugging me for a long time. If you mic your drums, and run them through a mixer, then into your computer, how would you seperate the tracks?(by tracks i mean high-hat by itself, toms by themelves, snare, etc...). isnt the line into the computer from the mixer one line? because i dont want all my drums to be recorded on one track, because i wouldnt be able to edit the snare, toms, and cymbols by themselves, it would edit the whole drum track. so basically im asking how do you record drums on a computer so that they are on different tracks.

you can't unless you have multiple inputs on your soundcard...
Just get the mix right before you record and have it all set up on the mixer good. Unless of course you want to add weird effects to certain tracks...

If you only have 2, I'd do a left/right mix off the board.
well, assuming all you want to edit on each drum is stuff like, eq settings, and effects. why dont you set them BEFORE you send the audio into your soundcard? Its not the most conveniant method though.
