View Full Version : Best EQ settings?

I was wondering...what are the best EQ settings for an electric/acoustic? What settings do you use? I'm looking for a mellow, warmer sound, but I just get a muffled kind of tone. Help? (btw, I havea 5-band EQ: presence, treble, middle 2, middle 1, bass, and 2 knobs: volume and middle 2 freq.)

any particular song or artist you're looking for?
you wont match it exactly and i dont think anyone here can give you the "BEST" eq settings...
what they can do..if you give them an example of a song or artist, is make suggestions as to how to tweak your knobs (lol)
sound will depend on your playing style, amp, speakers..etc....
now post an artist/song you wanna emulate

keep it equal to begin. If its sounding muffled, more on the presence, and treble. Try a bit more of different things and see if it gets better, or worse, until you have something you're happy with.
Don't see you in the sesh very often Jarviss...

What I usually use on my electro-acoustic is
Bass - Middle
Mid - Middle
Treble - Full
Presence - Full
I only alter Treble or presence and usually I get the sound I'm looking for
Not too sure though sorry mate

Something warm, kind of like a John Mayer type of tone, or an acoustic Metallica tone(Battery)...either would work well.
