I'm looking for some cheap (around $100) powered speakers. I want to set up a little PA in my basement. We have a good touring PA and such, I just want something to jam at my house with, I have a little Mackie 1202. What would be some decent sounding, but cheap, powered speakers?

$100? You should be so lucky. Buy a cheap packaged PA (like the Kustom one) and run the mixer into the line in on one of the channels. Powered speakers that I've seen have always only been high end, high wattage things.

me and my friend just bought an Audio choice pa from musicians friend for 180 or so. it's pretty good for small things. but i looked around for the cheapest, you won't find anything much cheaper, especially at 100 unless someone else here knows aboutone

ehhh...in all my experience with PA systems I have NEVER seen any kind of powered speaker set that you can get for under the century mark. sorry man, but honestly if a powered speaker is only worth 100 bucks then I wouldn't mess with it anyway...

I'll just like to echo what TheFreakinSauce! said.

Yeah, I may do that. Like I said, I'm just looking for something cheap and easy. Doesn't have to sound that great, since this isn't even our main practice area. I just want something for myself. Maybe I'll check those prepackaged sets too. Thanks guys.
