I put so many hours into that thing as a kid, Playing silent service and JET. Too bad commodore is no longer in bussiness that was on hell of a machine for the time.

I actually still have a working machine and drives, I've got about 60 games in perfect condition. As well as a atari 2600,colecovison and an archive or nearly ever game they put out. I've got them stashed in my vintage archive... Mabey in 50 years it'll be worth somthin

I got one with a box of about 300 games at a car boot sale for £8 and it works perfectly

I used to have one :(
My first games system of any kind, and it was soo cool. My mam sold it later on though. I need to get a new one.

LOAD "*",8,1
The classic old load command.

I blame all these quick-loading consoles nowadays for the huge decline in my reading. With my old Commodore, waiting 20 minutes for a cassette to load used to give me time to read a couple of chapters of something.

yeah that game was awesome, there should be a remake but they would never get it as good as it was back then.

i remember the old skool 'demo tapes' i used to get with magazines like 'zzap 64' and stuff, you litterally had to fast forward/rewind the tape to get it in the right position to load a certain game. pretty tricky stuff. Plus the constant crashes and load failures were a hassle, didnt put me off though.

I have extremely fond memories of lots of old games. My favourites were Ghostbusters and Pool Of Radiance.
I have a Commodore 64C somewhere with a crapload of games. Good times :)
