SSBM for its eternal fun and joy, but the one player gets a bit boring so,

I would say that DOA2 is my favourite fighting game, spent ages learning all the moves and becoming a master.

I enjoyed MKII for a while.
But i don't really like fighting games. Well... i'll always have a soft spot for the Streets of Rage series for the Genesis and the first two Double Dragon games for the NES.

although, most capcom fighters are also pretty awesome, super street fighter II turbo ultra mega... i've run out of words to randomly add for the title... is still pretty awesome

The Godfather - Running around New York, except this time it's 1936 and you go on hit missions and extort businesses.

Street Fighter 2 Turbo Hyper Fighting of course, with Tekkens 3 and 2 coming in next, respectively. SF Alpha 3 is pretty good too, but honestly I think the combos are a bit too over the top for the ease of doing some of them.

Never played Marvel vs. Capcom 2, though I've heard its really good.

I'd go with SSBM, Street Fighter II, or Soul Caliber 2 on the Gamecube you get to play as link which makes it > then the others.
