I haven't got it yet, it does look good. Is it much different from Smackdown Here Comes The Pain? The animations look the same. I saw a screen shot of 6 players playing, the screen was so full up of life-bars and health status bars and wotever else, you could barely see the wrestlers
Also, whats with the season mode on that? I saw the case and it said 'go toe-to-toe with bret hart and andre the giant'. Whats going on there?
900th Post, woot.

how about all wrestling games are fake. just like the "sport" itself.... not to bash on it or anything but come on you people have to realize by now that all that beating isnt real

Yes, because all non-wrestling games are real
I've heard good and bad things about it.
I'm still going to get it though :)

That's basically how I look at it. And even though the online play is minimal, I'll still be able to play against one of my friends, which should be fun.

it means that andre the giant and bret hart are playable charactors. which suffice to say, is completely awesome.
either way, as long as the career mode is pretty good i'll get it

Wrestling is gay, you should hang yourself for buying that game.

Halo 2 is gay, I should hang Myself for not being open minded enough to tolerate someones opinion about a game.
There we go.

Their is only two backstage areas I can see.
Carear mode is AWSOME, the wrestlers voice over is great. The commentary rules.
The new royal rumble thing rocks.
I miss some greats on it like The Hurricane, Rosey and Austin (not in it butyou get his moves)
Andre The Giant
Bret Hart
Brutus Beefcake
LOD
Old Rock
Mankind
Maksed Kane
Legendary Undertaker are just some of the ledgends.
Awesome new feature, WWE challenges, for example, "Beat undertaker in a First blood match in under 3 minutes using anyone on normal difficulty.
I highly reccomend this game if you enjoyed Here Comes The Pain.

TV stuff granted but the games are great. Dont post in here if you dont like it.

From what I've heard, the online play is horrible.
But I don't have my Ps2 online, so it doesn't bother me.

I bought SvR when I got my Playstation 2. It's the only game I have for it.
Prior to that I'd played WWF No Mercy on my 64 for several years.
I reckon it's really good, but some parts of it really annoy me. It's just the little things, like the whole "Call Name" thing when my custom wrestlers come out. It just makes them sound really stupid. Even if they had have just put in an option to have no call name when they came out, that'd be sweet.
I was also really dissappointed that Lita wasn't in the game. What was the excuse for that?
Also, it was a bit dissappointing that you can tell which is a custom wrestler and which was an in game one you know? Like for example, in WWF No Mercy, the in game wrestlers are built with the same tools as the custom wrestlers, so you couldn't really tell just by looking at them. In SvR, you can't use the in game wrestlers attire/tattoos/hair/faces and they have different looking skin and so on in the game itself. That's one of the things I really disliked about WWF Attitude for the 64. Either way, I suppose it might be a fair trade off that the in game wrestlers end up more detailed and so on so I shouldn't complain, but the CAW feature is the main selling point of any game for me so it just bugged me a little.
But yeah I really enjoy this game.

I agree with you on that one gaslight, the CAW just doesn't make your wrestler stand out as much and the ring announcements are a pain. On 'Here Comes The Pain', that was taken off but I think SvR is going for ultimate realism, even if that means making our custom wrestlers sound really stupid.
In response to you Lita question, I believe she was out with injury at the time SvR was made so she wasn't available to do the game.
