If Pitt doesn't choke in the AFC Championship game against New England or loses an opening round matchup against Baltimore, then a Steelers vs. Eagles Super Bowl (with Pittsburgh winning and Duce Staley as the MVP) could be possible. Of course, then Philly has to get over their conference championship jitters too.

That's not the only reason a Cowboys-Eagles Super Bowl is highly unlikely...

Eagles vs. Patriots

No one in the NFC is even close to the calibur of the Eagles, they'll go 14-2 or 13-3 and get homefield advantage. They will have some problems with Green Bay, but the Pack don't have the D to stop the Eagles and I'll take the Eagles over Green Bay in a high scoring game. The Falcons are a one man team and if you stop that one man they are nothing. The Eagles Defense gives up the yards but not until the Steelers did they give up points from the run game. Atlanta doesn't have the O-Line that Pitt has so i don't beleive they would be able to beat the Eaglse on the ground plus the Eagles offense matches up good against Atlanta's D.

In the AFC its really hard to call. The Steelers are hot right now, but right now isn't Jan/Feb, the Colts have an awesome O but a bad D, The Pats are banged up but if they get healthy I think they are the most balanced team. Plus, the Colts CANNOT BEAT THE PATRIOTS no matter what they do. Also, the Steelers most likely won't be able to ride the rookie forever, he is playing incredible for a rookie but he really hasn't been asked to do much. They have a great O-Line and wide receivers and a solid run game, so he is really just letting things happen. If they get into a tough game in Foxburough(sp?) and he has to win the game for them I don't beleive he can do it.

I would really like to see a Steelers vs. Colts game. The past few Super Bowls have been so boring. :(

Ravens over Eagles

**Waits for the laughter to subside**

Ok, once the they get their 3 Pro Bowlers back, they are as strong as anyone in the league. And if Boller keeps his decent play going, thats even better. If they had had Jamal Lewis when they played the Eagles they would've won.
95 Chester Taylor yards = 120 Jamal Lewis yards

The last Super Bowl went back and forth and was won by a last second field goal. I thought it was fun to watch.

How can you say that after the mammoth match up last season??? I was watching it in the uk at about 4am glued to the tv set. It was awesome, one of the best matches i've seen... not that i've seen a lot of matches. Can't forget the titans v rams superbowl either with tennessee stopped one yard from the goal line on the final play of the match.

For this years title I'm backing the eagles, TO has given them that extra pedigree on offence that's been missing in the last few championship games. That is if he keeps his head in the right place but i'm confident he will with a winning team and a qb that goes to him all the time.

One game over 25 attempts, one game over 200 yards, granted it was for 350+. However, I didn't say he was playing bad, infact I said he was playing incredible for a rookie, what I said was he hasn't been asked to do much, as in throw more times than they run or win a game by himself. That is why I said I don't think he will be able to win a tough game in NE.

ALL games against New England are tough! They're a good team, but the Steelers just happened to be better in this case. Roethlisberger is doing extremely well, and I don't think there's anything the Steelers can't do this season.

After Longwell wins game for Packers with 3 seconds left on the clock, Packers are the new shoe in.

I didn't say that, I said
If they get into a tough game

Also Vick doesn't need a good O-line to help him on the run, he can just run all over the place.

No doubt if McNabb is out they are screwed, but I meant it as if Mcnabb has a bad game then Westbrook and T.O. could step up, where as Vick is their entire offense and they can't afford him to have an off game in the playoffs. Also, I know teams get throw away games, but 56 points and 8 rushing touchdowns isn't exactly easy to overlook and I know Vick doesn't need the O-Line, but Dunn and Ducket do and their line is not Pitts.

You're wrong here mate, Rothlesberger will continue to play well because the team doesn't rely on him to win. They win through their running game and defense, the fact that Rothlesberger plays so well for a rookie is just an added bonus. They are playing as a team right now, and should make it to the AFC Championship.

The Colts can beat the Patriots, the Colts got thrashed last year in the AFC Championship, however this year in the season opener they played well and narrowly lost. Which is a huge improvement over last year. Their D is getting better, their O is always improving. I wouldn't be surprised to see them beat the Pats.

You actually made my point for me with Pitt., so I guess you just misunderstood me. I said that he is playing well because of how great the team is playing right now. Their D is playing good and their O-Line is completely dominating. Right now isn't the playoffs though, and if they get into a rut in a playoff game and he has to win it I don't think he could. Also, you know and I know the Colts could beat the Pats, but the Colts don't know that. They were wrecked in the Champiobship game, but what is worse are the two losses in the last seconds of the game. That kind of stuff gets into teams heads no matter how much they say it doesn't. If they meet in the Playoffs the Colts are very well capable of beating them, but that remains to be seen.
