After seing the movie Ray, I really wanted to play piano. My parents gave me my old keyboard back and told me to teach myself to play. Any advice on self teaching? Maybe a book or something?

yeah teach yourself with books or lessons is a great way to get started but it depends on what you desire to play in the end thats what you want to do

Before starting drums, I played piano for about a year (with a teacher and lessons), and I can easily tell you that this is not an easy instrument to self-teach.
Get a teacher and lessons if you're really serious about it. If you just kind of want to fool around on a keyboard, learn to read music, and then some fun songs you like.

If you want to teach yourself just start figuring stuff out, thats what I did for guitar, but you wont really get that far without books or lessons if you dont have previous knowledge of music and don't know how to read music.
