Sniping takes skill if you shoot for the head. If you shoot for the body, it's really not that hard.

I'm a sniper. I usually move around, but I shoot for the head every time.
It takes away from the fun of the game when some jerk is picking you off and you don't know where he is. Any decent player with a sniper rifle can kill you in two hits. Anybody can do it, and shooting for head isn't that hard when you let the guy run into your sight.

Rockets and vehicles take away from the fun of the game.

Snipers make players better. Experienced players do not run in straight lines because of snipers, experienced players know how to combat snipers. It's the inexperienced/oblivious players who get sniped.

Yea. Everyone weapon can be beaten, even the rocket launcher. Same for the vehicles. Especially the banshee, I love it how those n00bs still come in real close and try to splatter you.. :evilgrin:

Give me a break. Everybody knows that you have to get close to someone to effectively use the shotgun, as with the sword. It isn't that hard to dodge rockets, as with vehicles, besides, if a ghost is charging you, just toss a plasma grenade on it and jump. Sniper rifles are weak because you don't even have to be close to the person you kill. It takes skill to survive close combat fights.

The realistic aiming is hard to adjust to, when you shoot repeatedly the crosshairs naturaly move up, as with a real gun, so getting used to aiming in Halo as compared to less realistc games takes practice.

I've got some gripes about halo 2's legendary mode.

1. Hit an elite SEVEN times melee and he didn't die. I also threw a grenade on one, and he didn't die untill I unloaded a full thing of a plasma rifle and punched him.
2. I hit a Wraith with 6 rockets and it didn't die.
3. Sniper rifles suck against elites.
4. The sword is useless against the elites.
5. Wraiths suck. You can't use the plasma cannons, and the other wraiths blow you up right when you get into them.

I'm currently starting the first level where you play as the elite, and its fun, but seriously, 4-5 hits from an elite's plasma rifle kills you? Shouldn't the Master Chief be at least as strong as the elites?

Ok so i was looking threw the "renders" section on the gallery on the halo2 section of the bungi site, and theres all different types of warthogs, theres 4 different ones, from the bog standard on, to a snow one with tracks on it, and one with a bit to carry troops. Also theres an ATV (all terrian vircle) that looks like a quad bike. What the hell happend to these in the game? Theres only 3 marine vircles.

Ive not tryed boarding the scorpion either, but on the game marines were sat on the side, you cant sit on it if the metal bit of the wheels has gone if you were trying like that.

Man, Burial Mounds is not very popular amongst the new maps for Halo 2. I kind of like it; if you're playing CTF, that gauntlet through the middle gets real intense when the flag's travelling through.

Burial Mounds is fine for CTF or Assault, it's crap for Slayer.

Edit: I just remembered in that game you managed to land the warthog on the wall of the broken bridge, so you couldn't move at all. I was about to get on too hahaha.

I freaking owned that game, most kills, one death, never let them make a point, made both the points on my team.

At one time I took on all 4 of them by myself at their base, owned them all, and got the point.

Does anyone ever have problems with it saying XBOX Live not found? All cables are connected, IP is configured and it finds the DNS server but XBOX Live just isn't found..then usually if I wait a while it works. :confused:

Well I found out what the problem is. According to the XBOX Live Director of Programming,
"If you have Cablevision/Optimum as your ISP in the Northeast United States, they are having network issues that are causing Xbox Live subscribers to have difficulty logging onto Xbox Live.

Cablevision/Optimum is aware of the issues and working to getting them resolved as quickly as possible."
Something to do with an OOL server. Noone in NJ/NY can connect, there's a big thread on the XBL forum about it.

I'm not sure why that would affect you in Florida though.

It's been down since this morning though, so I doubt it'll be up before I go to bed. :(
