Not requested or anythin, but I'm just bored and this is now (yes now, I'm gettin' a les paul standard this month) my only guitar.
Anyway, here it goes:

Brand: Yamaha
Type: PAC-012
Price I paid for it: €232,- (including gig bag and picks)

Ratings (I judged with the price in the back of my head btw):

pick-up's: 5/5
neck: 5/5
body: 3/5
tremolo: 2/5
tuning capability (including staying in tune): 4/5
reliability (how often it gets broken and stuff): 2/5
overall: 3.5/5 <---> 4/5

this guitar has some of the best pick-up's I've ever heard on a guitar with this price tag, the humbucker in bridge position does it's work very well for rock/metal players like myself, the neck single coil works quite well for funk/jazz/rock-ballads, the middle single coil is quite good for bluesy stuff with a bit of funk too. (with the 5-way switch you can combine the bridge with the middle and the middle with the neck, so you can blend the sound until you like it (too bad there's only one tone-control :upset: ))
the neck is pretty fast, nice and thin, not too big frets, but not too small either.
The body is very light (lighter than most stratocasters i played), about the weight of an SG, just a bit heavier, but it's made out of really soft wood, so it gets damaged very quick, possibly the second biggest turn-off on the guitar.
the tremolo works quite well, but as soon as you just touch it the guitar goes out of tune, however, if you don't use the trem, the guitar stays in tune for a long time (I compared it to a friend's squier affinity strat and another friend's yamaha ERG), so that's quite nice for a guitar 'round €200,-.
The reliability is the biggest turn-off for me, this guitar got broken three times within a year, because the electronics are not really done with care (short wires and stuff), and the jack-connector's plate is plastic, which breaks often (mine broke 4 times in a different spot each time).
You might think I'm very rough on my guitar, but actually, I'm not, it's just not too "steady".

But overall it's a good guitar and I recommend it to all beginners who don't really know what kind of style they wanna play but do (try to) play punk-rock/rock/metal.

in the words of rottweiler from "born to shred" (or something like that): "It's a mighty fine guitar" :thumb: (no he wasn't talking about this guitar, i know)

I agree totally with this review.

It's a great beginner's guitar, but it requires a lot of maintenance, so you probably won't use it much once you get a new one. If you're good with maintaining guitars, mind, you'll get good life out of it.

And I agree with the soft wood being a turn-off. Mine is covered in dents.

My advice to anyone looking at this guitar - buy 5 Fender tremolo springs, set them in the back, and screw the bridge RIGHT DOWN. EVH-style. That solves all the tuning problems.
