Seeing as how my water-polo thread didn't go over so well, I figure this will be better since swimming is more popular.

I'm not the fastest swimmer, but I have a lot of endurance (thanks to polo) with my freestyle. My 50 free is around 2:50 :upset:

And might I add that swimming has to be by far, one of the best work outs known to man.

You must not be too fast if you swim your 50 free at 2:50 at the fastest. That's about 20 seconds slower than my last 200 free time, sophomore or freshman year.

I normally swim the 50 and 100 free. 50 time = :28 low... I'm supposed to be at 27 low/26 high as of last season, but oops! Haven't dropped in two ****ing years. 100 time = 1:02 high. I'm supposed to have broken a minute as of sophomore year. Oops again. I almost broke 60 freshman year, too. Ooooh well. This is my last season, and ****it I'll get there!

Currently I can hardly move, because swim season has started complete with the dryland practices and everything. There is no cure for a sore this bad. :(

*:50...somehow I got mized up with my 100 fly . Either way it's slow.

Yeah, I mainly do swimming to build endurance and strength...and a little bit of speed, though I'm not fast at all. It's kind of embarassing considering I'm in one of the top swimming programs in the nation :upset:

Swimming season is going to be pretty boring compared to water-polo :(

I swim, but not competitively. I do it for fun in the ocean. I also swim around lakes and such for endurance and I do a lot of skin diving.
