So what are you favorites, like/dislike etc.. all purpose RTS game thread

My favorite is Rise of Nations, gotta love it, the best age I think is enlightenment, the graphics are spectacular I think.

I love how they made the Script editor so open and powerful, even though it has it's own code

I got into AOE for a little, then I just kinda..didn't like it anymore

Has anyone played War Craft 3? I wanna know more about it.

SO yea, answer me

Age of Empires II: The Conquerors > all RTS games. I just loved the map editor. You could do anything with those triggers. A few of my maps were widely circulated on the Custom Map room on the Zone.

I think one of the best parts about these games is you can play online, and it's different than FPS because you have to have strategies and the game can switch back and forth in your favor or your opponent

The only ones I ever played were the early C&C games

C&C series. I never got to much into Starcraft (I've beaten it and the expansion, just never got into online play), I like more modern games than super futuristic games.

My favorite is Warcraft. I had to wait for my CD to get broken before I could quit playing it. Let's see, stuff about Warcraft III... if you'd like to do well playing online you'll have to learn how to micromanage your units and how to strategize well, because the amount of units you can make is well below most other RTS games. That's the focus they were going for, and I like it a lot.

I love RTS's, my favourites being Battle Realms and Warcraft 3. I also enjoyed Command and Conquer: Generals when I borrowed it from my friend. GLA rule :)

Generals is the only C&C I haven't played, I was thinking about downloading it.

Is it worth it? and are there any significant gameplay type changes?

Generals, but with the expasion (Zero Hour), it's even more amazing.

I've been playing Red Alert 2 for a good couple of years now, still can't get enough of it.

I love micromanaging I don't like games like Total War were you don't have an economy

I like games were you have to build up your resources to produce soldiers and advance ages

I can't wait for Empire Earth 2

Really, I played the demo and didn't like it, I like to build an economy and strategize and shizzle like that.

Civilization. (I know its not real time, but its still the best strategy game ever.)
Age of Mythology is good, and so is starcraft.

Rise of Nations was pretty awesome. I didn't like any of the more modern ages, I think the highest age I liked to go into was Enlightenment

warcraft 3 is the best iv played. i really like the addition of hero's and that you cant just mass a bunch of lower level guys.

starcraft was a classic but it got boring when the maps with loads of money were made and all you did was a mass guys until the map was maxed out and then there was only one battle at the end.

Yea Englightenment was my favorite age, you lost all micromanage skills from then on, it's like, just send you tanks and guys into battle and hope they come out victorious
