What kind of F#? There are so many types; major, minor, pentatonic, loads more. Elaborate.

Id make sure you have a root a third and a fifth, if your playing jazz add a 7th, if its a sus its a root fourth and fifth, if its a sixth play a root third and sixth. Nines sound good too. i think i just told you to play every note in the scale so have fun figuring that out
