Is there any way of turning the upwards thrust jets off in the hyrdra so I can go forwards and upwards properly?


Truf you can...

Push the right analog stick all the way forward until you see the little blue lights (flames from thrusters) stop moving forward, showing they cant move any farther. Now fly.
Personally, i say just push the right analog sticks forward before taking off, then take off like normal (except waiting for the tail to rise...just pull back on the analog stick once you get speed.)

You can only use them when a hydra has shot missles at you. I believe the brief comes just as you steal it.

ahhh ok, Yeah i just tried it out. I let them fire missiles at me then I kept tapping O while doing a sharp turn to the left. It worked nicely! Oh yeah, I now know what you look like! So ill know who this "arkward customer" is! :D

I beat the game, but my friend said i could steal a harrier and take it to my airstrip in the desert. I was wondering if this is true or if he really means the hydra which i already have.

Seriously though, otu of all flight sims, etc, the Hydra still has the most amazing handling i've known.

After I got the Hydra it's all I would do for a while, just take off straight out of the hanger and fly over the military base, then unleash on the jets they send after me.

It's not very functional. Hard to get out of the hangar, and impossible to get into your hangar at the abandoned airpot. I flew it once earlier in the game but got bored fairly quickly and haven't tried since.

Yeah, its not very fun to fly. Its just big and obnoxious, especially since you need a raised platform to get into it.

What is the two player like

Fun, unless your laying with a n00b, then its just you running with a wierd camera angle. And you cant get into 2 different vehicle....lame.

I've never seen other hydras outside of the mike toreno missions. Every time I go over the military base all I get is some weak little homing missiles.

Get a 6 star, then go in your hydra, if you have a 6 star, you get 2 hydra's on you, dogfight ++

Probably because they are all placed next to each other either high above or far below the ground. The yellow marker loads you there, so if you could leave the ammunations without going through the door, you would fall for a while.

And @ the girlfriend problems:

Are you getting the times she is home at in the strategy guide? Because those are wrong. She appears at noonish or so. And if not, then alot of people have had that problem.

That one took me tons of tries. There's no real tricks to it. Just turn from the outside of the track, and either use the regular brake or both of them. Brake maybe halfway into the turn, and then hit the accelerator once you're back facing a good position.

have you completed all the missions for your garage? once you get to a certain point in those one of the mechanics should call you and tell you to buy it

They are only available on Saturday and Sunday. There are only 2 of them, one on Santa Maria Beach (its near the lighthouse) and the other one on the little beach in Palomino Creek.

I got the first half right, and as I was flying over to the second spot, I messed up my heigth (sp?) and in the middle of the land of SA i was hitting water, so I was doing it right, but I can't find LC yet, I got it right so far, just practice on keeping the jetpack straight

This is how to get to the secret tatoo parlor

1-Go to the gym in Ganton, Los Santos.

2-Shoot everyone in the gym. (Not confirmed if needed but do it just in case)

3-Spawn a jetpack while in the gym. The cheat to spawn a jetpack is L1 L2 R1 R2 Left Down Right Up L1 L2 R1 R2 Left Down Right Up. (Yes, twice)

4-Fly to the door with the jetpack on and stand in the yellow triangle. Dont worry, walking into the yellow triangle wont make you leave the gym.

5-Fly up and you should go through the ceiling. Land on top of the gym's ceiling in the middle.

6-Press START then press X to zoom in on the map.

7-Put the cross right where Denise's house is (your first girlfriend's house) and press O to put the target there. Exit the start menu.

8-Here is the hard part. You have to fly to the target that is on your radar. You have to stay the exact altitude of the gym's ceiling. My tip is just to hold X and UP all the way until you get to the target. Pay close attention. Look for another yellow triangle that looks like the ones you walk into to enter stores, buildings, etc. Fly straight to the target. You will fly above some people that are walking around. Just go past them. You might hit an invisible wall but just try to fly over it. It isnt that tall.

9-Once you get to the yellow triangle, there will be an invisible platform right under it. Try to find it because you cant go into the yellow marker with your jetpack on. Once you are on the platform, take your jetpack off by pressing triangle and walk into the yellow marker.

10-Now you should be in some bar like room that is playing loud music. If it didnt automatically put your jetpack back on for you, use the spawn a jetpack cheat again.

11-Press START and X again to zoom in on the map. You will need to mark a new target on the map. If you look at the map on this link: http://gtadomain.gtagaming.com/hiddeninteriors.html You will see a bunch of numbers. Look for number 19 and place the target where number 19 is. This is the hardest part of the trip.

12-Before you start going, ill give you some tips. Hold X and UP like before but this time, you might have to let go of up for a short second every so often so that he doesnt fly to far down. As you are flying, you will see people walking around. Make sure you stay above these people. If you go too low or too high, the screen will display "LOADING..." for a split second. If you see that screen, you must start over. You cant go back after you see that screen. The only way out is to kill yourself and start over. To kill yourself, press: Right L2 Down R1 Left Left R1 L1 L2 L1. On the trip, you will also see interiors and maybe houses. Just keep going and make sure that you are staying above them.

13-Once you get to the target, you should see a little room with a yellow marker in it. That isnt the yellow marker you need. If you are on the room's ceiling facing WEST, there should be another yellow marker to your right floating in the air. Fly to it and there should be a platform but be sure you are on the right platform because there are 2. One is on top of the yellow marker and one is under it. You need to be on the platform that is under it. Once you are on the correct platform, it is safe to take off your jetpack. Carefully walk into the yellow marker.

14-Choose your new tatoos.

15- The only way out is to kill yourself so type in the cheat. (It is shown above)

16-Save it so you dont have to do it again.

Early Bulletproof Savanna
After you finish the 'High Stakes, Low-Rider' Mission, Cesar and his car stay at the finish line, doors locked. You can push the car to the nearest garage and the doors will become unlocked. The car stays bulletproof.


Headless CJ
Find a katana, then go into two player mode (by finding a icon that shows two red figures). Have player two chop your character's head off, and then when you go back into one-player mode CJ will have no head, and a nasty little blood effect.


Stop Rival Gangs from taking your Territories
To stop a rival gang from taking your Territories, go to a safe house and save when ever the message "your area is under attack" appears on the screen. This will stop the attack and you get to keep you area.


Cell Phone Guns
When talking on the cellphone, press Triangle to end the conversation then quickly switch to the tec9, in your hands you will have a cellphone that shoots!(deactivates when you enter a vehicle)


Super Bike Jump
This requires that you are have a gun that can be used while riding a bicycle. Immediately after you release the jump button (L1), tap circle. You should tap and release fast enough so the gun does not actually fire. You can jump over 2 stories high this way if you time it right.


Mountain Bike Morphing
This glitch is similar to the bike morph glitch in vice city, but it has a limited area that you can use it. In this area you can not fall off the bike, so you can do flips and all other kind of insane stunts. To do this glitch you need:1: Go to the top of Mount Chiliad2: Get a Parachute (there’s one by the Journey on top of the Mountain)3: Get on the mountain bike parked at the top of the mountain to start the mission “The Chiliad Challenge”4: Use the ramp to the left of the beginning of the mission to fly of the mountain. Jump off in midair and open the parachute.If done correctly you should now be morphed with the bike (parachute still open) Now you can do insane stunts without falling of your bike.


Infinite Nitrous
If you blow up a car in your garage while the nitro is activated, it resurrects with permanent nitro.


Easy way to obtain a Hunter
Go to the Las Venturas airport and choose the Heli Hell race, fly the Hunter back to the airport and exit the helicopter and lose the race, you know have a Hunter that you can use for vigilante missions.


Fall from great heights without dying
Keep tapping jump as fast as you can while falling down and you will take much less damage from falling and can now survive higher falls.


Wide Screen Mode
To do this go to any airport, and book a flight to anywhere. When you see the plane appear on the runway put in the "destroy all vehicles" cheat. You will die, and be sent to the nearest hospital, but the screen will stay wide screen. Ya know black bars at the top, and bottom of the screen. Note:The only way to get out of the wide screen mode is to book another flight, and either jump out of the plane, continue to the other airport, or do a mission. Also you will not be able to see the map, health, or armor bars, weapon, money, wanted lvl. and you cannot pause, or save the game.


Underworld Gateways
You'll need a jetpack to explore the Underworld.Gate#1: Go to the sea's cliffs east of Los Venturas near Sobell Rail Yard. Now fly along the ledge near water level. There is a glitchy rock wall that you can pass through in one point. The wall twitches and shakes. When you get in, you may have to fly north a little before it lets you get under fully.Gate#2: It's in a corner wall of your safehouse in Vinewood, right by the pool. Just walk into the wall at different spots until you find it.


Free paint jobs at Loco Low co. and Wheel Arch Angels
Tired of having the garages take away your beloved paint jobs on your cars? Don't want to spend $500 on a pretty flame paint job? Take your vehicle of choice to the Mod Shops across the state. When you are in the shop, highlight your painting of choice. Now press X and then Triangle VERY Quickly. Your car should have the paint job and you don't have to pay the money. However, this doesn't work with anything else. (colors, spoilers etc.) Also note that this will not fix up your car, and it will still be beat up.


No Traffic
Start a new game and get to the OG Loc missions. At the beach mission, talk to the DJ and respond positively. When she says lets dance, instead of talking to her again just run away and there will be no cars on the road. Save game, so you can do this whenever you wantSome fun things to do with this glitch are to turn on "all people hate you" cheat for zombie style survival horror game, or turn up the wanted level for fastest police chases ever.


Refill Nitro
Whenever your nitro runs out, leave your vechicle and get back in. Your nitro will be replenished and you won't have to wait two minutes for it to refill.


Invincible Ped
If you hijack a car with a passenger and drive into a Pay-N-Spray before they can get out, when the door opens the passenger will get out of the car and be invincible. No matter what you do you cant kill him.


Skip Songs on Radio
You can skip songs on the radio. Change to another station, then change back to the station playing the song you hate. As soon as the text at the top of the screen saying the name of the station turns yellow, before the station starts to play, change the station again. Change back to the original station, and it will have skipped whatever song it was playing.


Reload Instantly
When you need to reload quickly press L2 then R2 or vice versa just before CJ runs out of ammo and you will instantly reload.


Go to Any City Early Without 4-Star Wanted Level
Get any car and drive to the border between the locked and unlocked area. The locked area is the big region shaded in blue. Do not cross the border yet. Wait until you see a cop, or shoot a pedestrian or something to get 1 star. With this one star, drive over the border and drive around the city for a bit. You will not have a 4 star wanted level. After this, just kill yourself and you will be at the hospital. After you are out, you can roam around the city with no wanted level.


Free Ammo in Ammu-nation
Go to any Ammu-nation that has a shooting range. Enter the shooting range with a weapon that is sold at Ammu-nation and exit it. When you exit, you will get more ammo. Repeat as many times as needed. Eventually when you max out your ammo you will get infinite ammo for the selected weapon.

Police Impound Garages
To get the car you were busted in go to the local city police station (LSPD, SFPD, and LVPD) and enter the garage with a police vehicle. Drive down to the very end of the garage to find your car you were busted in.


Melting Mountain Bike
Get a mountian bike, start to reverse by hold square, while holding it, start to tap X fast.CJ's 3D frame will bend and stretch in crazy ways.He'll even look like he's melting into the ground.

liberty's pretty easy to get to. just head straight for the yellow marker and eventually it will enter liberty itself.. although you are not able to roam around the city, you can only do the mission in the st. mark's bistro.. i think

i was walking around san fierro and a group of ballas appeared and started shooting me, so i killed them and it started a gang war, there was only 1 wave and they just had bats, no guns, so now i have 1 territorry in san fierro and no purple territories are showing up or anything, is this a glitch or can i accually end up taking over san fierro like i did los santos?

Is there any way to get one of those SWAT tanks in the last mission? You'd think they'd be used in police chases, but anytime I've had the SWAT team come after me while I have a wanted level, they've only used the trucks.

i was at like 97%, now im back down to like 73%, and he doesnt have any of the really ****ing annoying stuff done, so now i have to get all the horseshoes, snapshots, and the last of the tags AGAIN, i have to get gold in all the schools AGAIN, finish zeros missions AGAIN, do the trucker missions AGAIN, do the chiliad challenge AGAIN, do the firetruck, vigilante, ambulance, and most of the taxi missions A ****ING GAIN! theres probably more but im to ****ing pissed off right now to think of them

i was walking around san fierro and a group of ballas appeared and started shooting me, so i killed them and it started a gang war, there was only 1 wave and they just had bats, no guns, so now i have 1 territorry in san fierro and no purple territories are showing up or anything, is this a glitch or can i accually end up taking over san fierro like i did los santos?

Nope, that's all the San Fierro territory is. I thought it would have been divided into more sections, or there would be more waves of Ballas, but it really IS that easy.

Cycle forward one weapon, then cycle back to the weapon you were using in the first place. That weapon will now be reloaded.

Example: To quickly reload your SMG when you have it selected, press R2 to select the assault rifle. Then press L2 to go back to the SMG, which will now be reloaded.

Sometimes if you do it too fast, it doesn't register and you've just cycled one weapon ahead.

First you take off from the roof, go left and take down the guy right by you, make a soft right after that and go after the van one, just constantly shoot at it and get it down as quickly as possible, make a left and you should be coming head on with the guy on the bike, take him out

The key is get use to the flying and not make any mistakes

After you get the guy on the bike swing around and go for the far 2, go for the farthest one first and then the closer one and make your way back to zero's

This took me a long time you just have to get use to the flying

amazingly, thats acctually truth, i've never seen it done, but i've seen my friends game with more territorys than there should be.

I think if you just do the health/armor cheats, you should be fine. I think the irreversible ones (The ones that cause the most fun) Also cause the most damage. I'm pretty sure that if you do anything other than the health/armor, you will be stuck on 99%.

You have to unlock San Fierro to do it because the race takes you into San Fierro.

You'll get a nightstick, 15 pistol ammo, and 5 shotgun ammo, repeat as nessecarry.

And you only get one star as long as you kill the cop with bare hands.

Sheeit, 86 pages! I finally completed San Andreas earlier this month, forgot to save, then completed it again yesterday :). I think it's an awesome game, but not my favourite ever.
I want to get 100% but I really can't be bothered getting all the gang territories, collecting the tags, camera shots, horseshoes and oysters (I only just found out about the oysters today - how annoying) and doing every other thing.
Now I've completed it I prefer to just make up my own little stories, like get a sniper rifle and pretend I'm on an assassination mission, or go hunting in the countryside, or land jets on skyscrapers and sit back watching the world...then jump off.

I've also found myself amassing a nice artillery then heading over to the stadium near CJs house and shooting down as many police helicopters as I can. It's good over there because the police can't get in, and you have lots of pillars to hide behind. I found myself getting bored when I played it today though...there's only so many times you can start a riot.

On another note, how bloody annoying are Zero's missions? That one where you have to shoot the enemy vehicles then land back on his roof is such a bitch. It's so hard to actually kill the enemies, but to do it quickly and THEN make it all the way back with fuel remaining is so tough. My being pissed off overrided the satisfaction I should have had at completing that mission.

And how the hell do you fly the harrier jet? I did that annoying mission a while ago so I've forgot the controls. It's in the hangar at my airbase but it's so hard just to get it out on the runway - when I hold X it just goes straight up...I remember you had to tap something to switch it to the thrusters.

About Zero's, yea it is a bitch, just takes practice, I finally did it

And for the Harrier, you have to push the right analog stick forward to shift the thrusters to make you go faster

It is hard at first... I'm just a natural bomb *** pilot

The way to do it is...

1. Once you turn the jet on, press x once, hold for maybe half a second
2. You should be hovering, ease out of the hanger the way you would with a helecopter.
3. Once you are out of the hanger, hold x and hover upward until you are about 30 feet off the ground...
4. Press R3 to bring up your landing wheels
5. Push the right analog stick forward for about a second, this will take it out of hover mode.
6. Fly away as you would with a normal plane

That is the cool, stylish way to do it. I perfected it, not that hard.

You can do it that way, or you can from the start hold right analog stick forward, and drive your lame *** out of the hanger.

Once you get your flying skill up, driving the Hydra will become less difficult.

When you get full flying skill, the Hydra is insanely manuverable.

I love flying in this game. I just beat all the plane races (LV airport). They were all pretty easy, except military service was sort of hard. But it was also the most fun. :D

A fun thing to do with hydras:

Go to the gant bridge, switch to hover mode, slow down as slow as possible...

Hover outside the bridge, overlooking cars. Just hover there, its pretty much a floating plane in mid air. Shooting heat seeking missiles at passing cars never gets old...


One last thing, I found this a while ago, I'm not sure if many other people found it out. If you have trouble aiming your missiles (in the Hunter or the Hydra) try this out...

When in the hunter or the hydra, press select and change views until you get a first person view with rocketlauncher crosshairs, this is awesome. You do SERIOUS damage with the hunter once you master it..

I always reload the game after I fail a mission, or when I die or get busted. I know that if you fail a mission without dying or anything, the mission marker is still there, but I had no idea what happens when you go back in. Thanks for the tip!

New ones such as making CJ jump higher, making bunny hops go as high as sky scrapers, instant 100% fat (looks fatter than if you were to do it manually, for some reason), instant 100% muscle (also looks more muscular than if you were to just work out), 0% fat 0% muscle (scrawny mofo).

Some of the more cuter cheats is where you can turn the entire state of San Andreas into a beach party... Everyone is walking around in bathing suits, and you get one too. People tanning on the sidewalks of Ganton...

The best new cheat of all... Makes your current car/bike/boat/plane invincible, and it blows up anything it touches. Of course, I tried this with the hydra...

WOAH

You can fly directly into buildings at like 300 MPH and just bounce off. It's chill. Not to mention no more pesky little missiles coming out of the clouds blowing you up when you want to have a good time. Well, they are still there, they just don't hurt.

Yeah the one outside Sweets.

Basically, let's say....you're doing the last mission, you escape from the crack factory but then fail the fire truck chase bit. Instead of reloading the game, just wait til you respawn back at the house and walk into the red circle. You get automatically transported back to the fire truck bit, rather than having to do the whole factory thing again. And it doesn't matter that you have no weapons cos you don't need them.
I did exactly this the first time I tried the mission :)

I'm not sure if there are other restarts on that mission...like if you die after finishing the 'boss'.

wtf, it's helpful advice, I wish I would've known this when I was up to this point.

Stop bitching, and does the "respect" meter really matter from the time you leave LS and come back to LS, no, because respect lets you recruit more gang members, and do you have a gang between that time. Nope.

Also with the weapon skill, you could just kill a bunch of people and it's like the same thing :rolleyes:

Or just go to Ammunation, but whatever, do as you like

I finally beat the last mission, took me three go's but ive done it now. Im on just over 75% so i still got some work to do, i have to finish the last two heist missions, and Zero's, and quite a few races and challanges.

I'm still at 98.xx%. The two things I know I have left to do are the NRG and Ammu-Nation challenges. I don't feel like doing either of them anymore, especially the Ammu-Nation challenge because it's so annoying to get to the last AK47 or shotty round and lose.

The only Zero mission I found hard was Supply Lines. I gave up and went on with the game, then came back to it after I learned to fly a plane for real. It was suddenly heaps easier, and New Model Army was a piece of cake.

im assuming thats not true, if you get on the back of trucks, and they go too fast..... you *sadly* fall off.

but i heard if you have one person cut the other persons head off you can run around without a head, like a chicken. :lol:

It works with pretty much any plane. But it barely works. You can only stay on for a few seconds and then you will fall off.

And about cutting CJ's head off in 2 player. If you go into 2 player and the 2nd player has a katana (sword), if he swings it at CJ just right, it will cut his head off and you will fail the 2 player mission. But when you go back into the normal game, he will still be headless, with blood gushing out of his neck. I took a pic a while ago, I'll try and find it now.

when i go to the shooting range at ammunation i can beat all the gun challenges up to the last round of the shotgun challenge. do you get anything for beating that or is there more challenges after that or am i just wasting my time?

The San Fierro/San Fransisco reseblence is scary, they really did nail it.

Kill drug dealers that are hanging about (they wear black I think)
Take over lots of territory (if your that far through the game)
Experiment with different clothing (some are worth more respect)
DO MISSIONS
You might get some for getting all collectables but I dont know, im pretty sure spraying tags gets you respect

In the last level, simply do what you did for all the other levels, i didn't do it 1st time but i did 2nd and it was harder but do0able, just keep your calm and try to be accurate

It is tough...just keep doing it though and don't reload in between attempts. Because of the way R* set it up it gets easier every time. Don't worry about the ammu-nation challenge till you get to Las Venturas, 'cause if you wanna do the AK level you have to be on that island, and have to complete the levels before to get a shot at it.

I thought I was done for on that, as I bumped the boxes before hand and 1 of them was just floating in mid-air, so there were 5 in the building. Luckily I found like 6 outside, so I didn't find it that hard

Gaining territories wasn't hard just frustrating because of all the cops around, but i thought the last mission was far too easy.

I managed to pick two up at once, couldnt fit them both in the truck at the same time though.

Ive only just done the mission where you and BS are on the bike, and your shooting bikes and cars, and a big lorry in the flood control. Im not very far yet. But i think thats my fave mission so far, twas fun.

oh man this game is so good! anyone here own it yet? ive heard a few people diss it for some reason or another but i dont see how it can be dissed. this game really is that good. climbing on a hill or house and looking down on the moving city is pretty special. i cant wait to climb mount. chiliad. its gonna take a while to get there though. I thought i had found a way to get round the roadblocks that stop you getting to the certain areas of san andreas that your not supposed to reach yet, by swimming across the sea, but when i reached the shore, i immediatly had 4 wanted stars and got tourn a new a-hole by the police chopper. ouch. this game is **** cool. i just got shot with a missle so i got codes for the hydra and now im goin back :evil:
